Sound

In his studio in Haarlem he does sound design, editing, voice recording and mixing. He has a sound fx library and plug-ins sound manipulation and creates surround mixes as well as  tv (R128) and internet mixes.

More studio

Tom works regularly in other studio's as well. He shares a studio in Zaamdam which suits recording sessions with musicians, voice recording and sound recording. The spacious room makes it a nice place for mixing too.  

Besides, Tom works regularly in Ronnie van der Veer's foley studio and in the Editpoint audiostudio for documentaries. For theatre projects he can work in the theatres as well.

Tom Nestelaar

Tom Nestelaar is a sound designer and composer and since 2005 he works on film, theatre, documentary, tv, music and museum projects. In his early years he was always busy with music (piano/synthesizers) and sound technology. In 2004 he graduated as composer and sound designer at the  HKU (Art, Media & Technology).

Music

Tom composes and produces music. Sometimes the composing proces starts with a melody, another time with a concept or an idea. Then he starts building the composition with any kind of element which the composition itself demands: a sound, a synthesizer, a voice, acoustical instruments. A score can be produced when necessary and finally a mix will be made within software or on an anolog mixing desk.
